SanFransico, CA— August 26, 2025 Tazama.org, a real-time fraud detection platform built to protect
inclusive digital payment systems, is proud to announce a new partnership with Algoqube, a technology
and consulting firm with deep expertise in modern payments, engineering, and human capital
development.
Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and governed by the Linux Foundation, Tazama is
part of the Level One Project, a global effort to make instant payments secure, affordable, and
accessible—especially for low-income and underserved communities.
Through this partnership, Tazama and Algoqube will work together to help financial institutions,
regulators, and payment providers adopt and scale fraud protection in real time—without compromising
on inclusion or ease of access.
“Fraud prevention is essential to building trust in digital payments,” said Greg McCormick, Executive
Director at Tazama.org. “Algoqube brings the technical skills and regional insight, combined with card and
infrastructure expertise needed to help us deliver secure, scalable solutions across a wide range of
markets.”
Algoqube’s experience spans the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, and India, with a focus on engineering
excellence and customer-centric/AI agent technology. By combining their strengths with Tazama’s open,
collaborative fraud detection model, the partnership will focus on:
● Helping inclusive instant payment systems implement real-time fraud detection tools quickly and
effectively.
● Securing card and infrastructure data during real-time transactions.
● Supporting fraud mitigation at scale across public and private financial ecosystems.
● Building capacity within local markets through technical training, integration support, and advisory
services.
● Contributing to a safer, more resilient global financial infrastructure.
“We’re excited to be part of this journey,” said Tapas Mishra, Co-founder and Director at Algoqube.
“Tazama’s vision aligns with ours—to ensure technology empowers and protects people. Together, we
can make secure digital payments the global standard, not a privilege.”
Tazama is designed to work across institutions and borders, creating a shared layer of defense that
makes real-time payments safer for everyone—from a street vendor in Kenya to a micro-merchant in
Asia.
As digital financial services continue to grow, this partnership strengthens the foundations of trust,
security, and inclusion that the Level One Project stands for.
